Brought to you in partnership between the Peer Resource and Leadership Centre and Campus Recreation.GLOW YOGA is a high energy yoga event featuring glow sticks, black lights, glow in the dark body paint and a live local DJ!This event is suitable for all fitness levels and open to the whole UFV Community. You can sign-up by emailing campusrec@ufv.ca. In your email, please specify if you are a UFV Alumni or a community member. Priority will go to UFV students, so tickets are limited.This event focuses on health, wellness, and community all night long. This is a substance free event.
What to Wear
For the full effect, you’ll want to wear your brightest, whitest, and most neon attire so that you’ll glow under the black lights. Wear clothing that is also comfortable to move in.Glow Painting – Games – Prizes – Live DJ – And MoreParticipants will need to sign a waiver, so make sure you arrive early! You MUST present your UFV Campus Card and proof of vaccine for this event.Once signed in you can get decked out with glow sticks, UV body paint, and more. Hang out, dance, and take photos until the event starts! DJ Elixir, a local from Mission, will be spinning some great tracks. 8:00 PM: Sign-in and registration opens. Once in you will have the chance to get decked out in glow in the dark paint and glow sticks8:35-9:00 PM: Warm-up those muscles with UFV’s Dance Fit instructor. There is no wrong move during warm-up!9:00-9:45 PM: Yoga lead by Katrina from Oxygen Yoga and Fitness, while DJ Elixir spins his techno tunes.Yoga MatsIf you own a mat, please bring it. For those that do not have a Yoga mat we will have some for people to borrow, only while supplies last.VolunteersIf you are interested in volunteering with this event, please email campusrec@ufv.ca.
