I am incredibly humbled and thrilled to announce that I have officially won Experimental Artist of the Year at the 2026 Fraser Valley Music Awards!
Taking home this award represents a massive milestone for me. After being recognized as Best Electronic Artist in previous years (2018, 2022, and 2025), stepping into the Experimental space and seeing the deeper, boundary-pushing evolution of the elx project celebrated by the community truly means the world to me. This award validates the sonic journeys, the genre-blending, and the late-night studio sessions that went into shaping my latest sounds.
As many know, I’ve been producing under the moniker elx, while performing live and DJing as elixir—a name that continues to evolve with my work. The new visual identity I’ve adopted reflects that fusion: the letters e, l, x are filled in bold, while i, i, r remain outlined—symbolizing the bridge between my studio productions and live presence.
Most importantly, I want to send a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who took the time to vote for me in the Dakota Leslie Memorial Fan Vote. Your votes and unwavering support are what keep me inspired to continue exploring new musical territories after more than 25 years behind the decks.
