I am thrilled to share that I have officially taken home the award for Best Experimental Artist at the 2026 Fraser Valley Music Awards!
Following up on last year’s win for Best Electronic Artist, it feels incredibly rewarding to be recognized in the Experimental category this time around. Over the last twelve months, I’ve been heavily focused on stepping outside my usual production habits. I’ve spent the past year really experimenting, not only with blending different genres, but with dialing in how contrasting sounds can combine and enhance each other. A big part of this creative evolution involved deep-diving into new synths, finding ways to bend their abilities, and pushing them well past their typical limits to see what the elx project is truly capable of.

As many know, I’ve been producing under the moniker elx, while performing live and DJing as elixir—a name that continues to evolve with my work. The new visual identity I’ve adopted reflects that fusion: the letters e, l, x are filled in bold, while i, i, r remain outlined—symbolizing the bridge between my studio productions and live presence.
